About The Academy
Hudson Piano Academy offers private piano lessons in Fort Lee, New Jersey and New York City for children, teens, adults, and dedicated pianists of all levels. Founded by concert pianist, educator, and author Sachiko Kato, the Academy provides individualized instruction that develops not only technical excellence but also deep musical understanding.
The Sachiko Method
Through the Sachiko Method, students learn to practice with clarity, think independently, and build a lasting relationship with music. Whether a student is taking their first lesson or preparing advanced repertoire, each lesson is tailored to cultivate confidence, artistry, and disciplined musicianship.
Meet Our Director
Sachiko Kato
Sachiko Kato is a Japanese-born, Los Angeles-raised, and Juilliard-trained pianist. Ms. Kato has performed extensively as a recitalist, soloist, and chamber musician throughout North and South America and Japan since her debut recital at Carnegie Weill Hall in 1994.
